Rhulani Insights 069 - Rhulani’s wine fridges

  • June 25, 2017 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

In winter, temperatures in Madikwe at night sometimes reach the zero degree limit. In the hot summer, the termometer sometimes rises to 40°C. Since there is no underground cellars in the wilderness, temperature fluctuations are a big challenge for our quality wines. These want to be drunk by our guests not only at the right temperature, but also must be stored at a constant temperature all the time.

That's why we have two wine fridges at Rhulani Safari Lodge. In one of them, our red wines are stored, and in the other our white wines and sparkling wines, at an even lower temperature. Together with our barman Ellias we take a look at our wine fridges today. When you visit us next time, let us serve you one of our tasty South African wines!

“Wine is constant proof that God loves us and loves to see us happy.” – Benjamin Franklin

Stay tuned for next episode on Sunday 9 July 2017 showing you the first of three chapters from the Fedair flight experience to Rhulani.
