Rhulani Insights 073 - Discussing interior design with Flipswitch

  • August 20, 2017 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

Every year, our guest chalets are carefully surveyed. Together with our Interior Designer “Flipswitch”, we make a plan to further improve the comfort for our guests. Take a look at the upgrades we have recently implemented.

The task for Heather, our contact of Flipswitch, is always challenging and exciting. The plan is not always a matter of bringing the newest, the most modern and the most expensive items from the market to us. We are a small lodge in the bush, have our own style and generate a special atmosphere, which we want to maintain even when making renovations. We know that many of our guests come back to us because of this special "Rhulani feeling".

During this winter the changes were concentrated on the fabrics and textiles, such as the bed mats, the ottoman covers at the footend of the bed, the bed linen, and above all, a completely new white mosquito net curtain for decoration, as well as new curtains with integrated black-outs.

Listen to Rolf's discussion with Heather, and have a look at everything that's new!

“Over the years, I've learned that you can have fun with the fabrics and other elements, but if it's not tailored right, you'll blow it.” – James Marsden, actor & singer

Stay tuned for next episode on Sunday 3 September 2017 when we find a beautiful leopard in the thick bush.
