In a secret action, exclusively sponsored by Rhulani Safari Lodge, a fully grown male tiger arrived at Madikwe Game Reserve early this morning. Madikwe is now the first game reserve in South Africa to offer this spectacular cat to our visitors, and it now receives an upgrade to be called a “Big 6” reserve.

Our guests usually believe that power supply is not so stable here in the African bush, and that electricity usually fails during a thunderstorm. This is actually true. But at Rhulani we have a potent power generator, which ensures a continuous power supply for the lodge operation.

It is certainly a major milestone for the staff of Rhulani Safario Lodge. All employees have decided via a new corporate pension plan to save for old age and protect themselves against life risks. We selected the plan “FundsAtWork” from Momentum.

In the open field, two of the Big 5 meet each other: a male lion and an elephant bull. Both seem quite relaxed and disinterested. The lion lies on the ground, the elephant eats grass. But both are watching closely and are on alert.

Often we are asked the question: how many guests take a seat on the vehicle to go on safari? Traditionally, the open Game Drive Land Cruiser seats ten people. However, since the beginning of this year, our ambition is to limit the maximum number to seven guests and thus increase the comfort.

The rain has just stopped in Madikwe and the sun lights up the savannah. This lion family with many small cubs seems to be very happy. They play with each other and find puddles on the road where they can drink.
