A Bushbuck family lives in the middle of our camp. We’ve grown accustomed to these cute roommates just like they’ve grown accustomed to us. In today’s blog, Rolf tries to get a little closer to the shy animal.

Today we see the recently renovated bathrooms in Rhulani’s guest chalets. And in particular, let’s take a look at the beautiful, black, so-called “Quart Carpet Floor”. This is the solution that gives us a pleasant-to-the-touch and hygienic floor that stretches across the entire surface, right out to the outdoor shower - and without any thresholds or steps.

From Rhulani’s observation hide at the waterhole, the “Tshembo Hide”, no animal can be observed as spectacularly as the elephant. From the frog’s perspective you look up at this imposing mammal and marvel at its size. But not only that. If you linger and watch the animal drinking, you should take your time and observe the many details that you can only discover from here, up close.

What a year is coming to an end! Hard to beat when it comes to events. Right from the start we feared for our future with the new Omicron virus, and who would have thought that we would still be able to end Christmas and the New Year with a full lodge and happy guests celebrating with us. Tonight the time has come: There will be a new FIFA Soccer World Champion. In Rhulani we followed this World Cup with our guests and are looking forward to an exciting final between Argentina and France.

Two months have passed since the glorious success at the 2022 World Luxury Hotel Awards (WLHA). We are still celebrating winning the title of “Best Luxury Bush Lodge - Global Winner”. We have just received the video from the organizers of the WLHA, on which Rhulani’s owner Rolf Steiner sends greetings and thanks from the gala ceremony to all our employees, friends, partners and family. It is with great pleasure that we welcome Shade-Leigh Wepener and Sean Townsend to the management team of Rhulani Safari Lodge. Both have many years of successful experience in the safari business and are well-known in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Accompanied by the joy of our guests as well as the employees, we are opening now a new chapter in Rhulani’s story.

The report specifically mentions how well we have weathered the COVID-19 pandemic and how a dedicated management team continues to strive for service excellence, making everyone’s visit memorable.
