Yesterday evening was a great, memorbale night at Rhulani Safari Lodge, not only because it was the celebration of New Year. We had a great dinner at the bushfire and a spectacular performance with local dances and singing by the Dipoo-tsa-Pina Arts Performers in our boma. Inspite of dark light, some nice sequences captured by our barman Ernest. Happy New Year!

For the first time ever, Rhulani Safari Lodge has been selected as a “shortlisted candidated” by the “Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards” for the year 2018.

In the first days of December, Rhulani Safari Lodge was invited for the fourth year in a row by the World Luxury Hotel Awards to the annual Gala Ceremony. And for the fourth time in a row we were handed over a trophy in the highest possible category: “Best Luxury Bush Lodge - Global Winner”.

Rhulani Safari Lodge accepted the invitation from South African North West Tourism Board and participated in the Marketing Campaign in Gaborone, Botswana, on November 23. According to Rhulani’s owner Rolf Steiner, who was present in person, it was a complete success.

The 2017 World Boutique Hotel Awards were celebrated at the elegant “The Merchant Taylor’s Hall” in central London. Rhulani Safari Lodge’s owner Rolf Steiner was one of the invited guests again this year. Proudly, Rhulani won a trophy for the fourth time in a row as “Africa’s Best Relaxation Retreat”.

What a wake up call for Rhulani’s guests on Saturday, October 28, 2017. At the lodge entrance, right between the conference room and the reception, a wild dog pack killed an impala. A sighting you will not get every day!

On Wednesday afternoon, 25 October 2017, we were reminded of the enormous force of nature that surrounds us. We do not mean the wild animals. Not too far from our lodge, a bushfire kept us on our toes. Because of changing winds the battle costed us a lot of nerves, but at 9pm the fire was under control.

Rhulani is a proud member of African Travel & Tourism Association (Atta). We have just renewed our membership for the period 2017/2018.
