Each guest who visits us and enters the Madikwe Game Reserve must pay a so-called “Park Fee” or “Gate Entrance Fee”. What is this fee for, how is it calculated, and how is it paid?

New Year’s Eve at Rhulani Safari Lodge in Madikwe was celebrated with a South African Braai (Barbecue) in the Boma Area. Guests could first enjoy the local dance group “Dikwena” performing for them around the fire and then choose from tasty grilled meats and salads.

I just wanted to share some photos of the “Christmas in the Bush” Experience at Rhulani Safari Lodge in Madikwe. Leading up to Christmas, the lodge was decorated with little Christmas Trees greeting you after your evening game drive, along with a shining star near the reception area and some window decorations.

It’s amazing what variety of wildlife you can find in Madikwe Game Reserve – and I am not only talking about the Big Five and other famous and popular animals. It’s also important to keep an eye out for the small things in (wild) life.

I love to explore the area of Rhulani Safari Lodge in Madikwe during sunset and early evening. After reading a book on my terrace with amazing views of the bushveld in Madikwe Game Reserve I am heading out in search for the perfect sunset shot.

I always love the atmosphere when Rhulani’s guests are getting spoilt with a Boma Dinner. The “Boma” is an outdoor dining area, mostly round-shaped, with a fireplace.

It was time to embark on an adventure – a real adventure – in the South African bush. I wanted to combine all of my talents and skills while travelling and being of service as a Yoga and Meditation Teacher.
