Rhulani Safari Lodge presents for the first time an “official promotional video”. It was created in collaboration with Supreme TV, a video production company founded in 2015 by Chad Killian, operating from Johannesburg.



The month of July is over. It is still winter time, which means we experienced cold nights, pleasant, sunny days, not a single drop of rain, and the most important: fantastic game viewing. Here is the monthly update from the bush by our rangers.

There are no guarantees on safari. But Rhulani’s statistics show that all members of the famous “Big Five” are seen with a high probability. Except leopard. This is a hard nut to crack even for our experienced rangers, like Sean.

June was an exceptional month in our safari operation. In the second half of the month, we had some amazing sightings, and in the first half Rhulani, was closed for major renovations.

After getting married in the bush, Sara and Francisco look back on their special day with unique memories: “The wedding exceeded all our expectations, and Rhulani’s staff were just amazing!”

In Madikwe’s interim period between warm summer and cold winter, the climate was ideal for safaris. Rhulani’s guests enjoyed many unique wildlife observations. The highlight was the release of “our” young cheetah Iketle. Here is our May update from the bush.

With great hope the cheetah female “Iketle” was released in Madikwe Game Reserve last Friday. Rhulani Safari Lodge, a main sponsor of the project, was there.

The month of April is over. For Rhulani, this means the end of the high season. But not for the bush! Madikwe with its wonderful wildlife has actually high season all the time, which is confirmed by the high quality of wildlife observations. A review of the figures from April.

It was a very urgent conservation activity sponsored by Rhulani. A baby elephant was found in the reserve with a plastic piece around its trunk, which the little animal had picked up somewhere and which had to be removed. The operation went very quick and without any friction. Now, the baby is happy again and joined its mother right after the intervention.

Animal observations in March were as successful as in the previous month. The chance to see the famous ‘Big 5’ is very high, even for visitors who come to us just for one or two nights. But there was much more to see.
