The ambitious new cheeath project of Madikwe reached another milestone this week. On Monday, 30 November 2015, two cheetah males were successfully introduced into the reserve.

Rapid technological development does not stop at the gates of a wildlife reserve in the middle of the African bush. Nowadays, access to internet in a five star lodge is an absolute “must”. Also Rhulani’s guests enjoy a wireless connection with a download speed of 10mps, free of charge. This is just great, but, if you think about it, also a pity, and for us not quite as easy as you would think.

On 18 November 2015, Rhulani Safari Lodge received the 200th feedback on TripAdvisor. This is one of the most important sources from where we get a feeling about the guest experiences and new ideas for our future improvement plans.

​The week-end of 7/8 November gave Rhulani Safari Lodge the opportunity to present our product to the Italian travel market. As exhibitors we participated at the “IMBIZO 2015”, an event celebrated in the wonderful Villa Erba in Cernobbio near Como.

There is no fence around Rhulani Safari Lodge, just an electric wire. By this we literally have no limits to nature. Thus, it may happen that all kinds of wild animals pass through the lodge, from a small turtoise to a giant elephant, like Bob. This is an unforgettable experience for our guests and a headache for our management.

At the second hotel-award ceremony of October Rhulani Safari Lodge was once again able to confirm the fantastic success from last year. We are “Africa’s Best Relaxation Retreat” according to World Boutique Hotel Awards. Rhulani’s owner Rolf Steiner attended the gala dinner in London.

Rhulani Safari Lodge defended its title from last year: we won the prize for being the “World’s Best Luxury Bush Lodge” from the World Luxury Hotel Awards. Rhulani’s owner Rolf Steiner traveled to Hong Kong to receive the prize in person.
