We are glad to inform about the appointment of Ms. Gerda Kubirske as Rhulani’s new lodge manager. Gerda started in her new role on 28 June.

Great news: we are proud to announce that Rhulani safari Lodge has renewed its 5 star grading for the next 12 months.

The sad news reached us on 19 June. “Rhulani”, the first female cheetah introduced into the reserve, had only a short life. She died after a fatal attack with the four cheetah male.

Exactly one month ago, “Rhulani”, the first female cheetah in Madikwe, was released into the wild and as started to explore the 75,000 hectares of the reserve.

Rhulani has been nominated and recently shortlisted for this year’s “International Hotel Awards”. The winner will be announced in Portofino/Italy end of June.

In May 2015, the South African Butler Academy (SABA) performed the second “Butler course” at Rhulani. This time, Newton Cross and Braam West revised the internal processes, hygene in the kitchen, and the organization of storage rooms.

An impressive female white rhino was hurt by a too narrow foot collar. Rhulani sponsored the removal of the collar during the visit of private safaris from Switzerland.

A week has passed since our amazing cheetah female called “Rhulani” has left its protective boma. We have recorded a few moments of the process. But more importantly, Rhulani has made her first kill!
