Rhulani Safari Lodge is excited to announce that the rating poll for the 2019 Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards is now open.

We are near a pan and find an elephant herd. They splash with the water, drink, wade through the pond, cover themselves with the mud…. These animals love the water above all else!

Now that the bathrooms in our Luxury Private Chalets are fully refurbished and ready for our guests, it is time to take you on a short tour.

A little tree squirrel jumps happily around in the area of our staff quarters. The little animal finds a nut, which it cleverly begins to peel.

A few days without guests came just right for us to give the swimming pool a fresh look. A few sunny days, a fresh paint and a bit of work - and the pool appears like new again. What looks like “everyday maintenance” is quite a challenge in the bush.

Lions are known to lie around in the shade during the day and barely move. So we have time to look straight into the face of this wonderful male lion.

Actually, we wanted to take a short break here at this beautiful, open spot and show you in today’s blog the stunning area with a few zebras. The bush keeps coming up with surprises.

How nice that on a safari with Rhulani Safari Lodge you can very often observe these prehistoric, peaceful pachyderms in their natural habitat. A white rhinoceros walks calmly through the savannah and grazes. Enjoy this wonderful moment in the African bush!

Rhulani Safari Lodge has recently started a new Community Project, by giving support to the “Andries Moseki Crèche” in the nearby village of Lekgophung. We are deeply convinced that this is the right project for us, to provide financial resources and active help over the next few years.
