Rhulani Insights 011 - Talking to Rhulani's front of house

  • July 13, 2014 | Rolf Steiner

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

The reception of a safari lodge is also known as Front of House (FOH). It is the first impression, which visitors, agents and potential costumers get of Rhulani.

Talking to Rhulani's front of house

Rhulani's FOH is on the right side of the entrance area. In today's episode, we make a visit and talk to Rhulani's Assistant Manager Jeanette about the daily work, which is executed here. The FOH is the contact point for all the wishes of our guests, which of course we would like to meet as well as possible.

But also some administrative tasks such as orders from suppliers, check-in's, check-outs and simple accounting duties are done. As Jeanette explains, our FOH also communicates with travel agents, answers all queries, and takes reservations. Different to other lodges, Rhulani does not have an external reservation office. So you can reach us every day, even on week-ends and public holidays!

Have you ever contacted our FOH, either by e-mail at reservations@rhulani.com, or via phone (Office: +27 14 553 3981, Mobile: +27 82 907 9628, Skype: rhulanilodge)? Are you satisfied with our efficiency and friendliness?

“I don't know what reception I'm at, but for God's sake give me a gin and tonic.” – Denis Thatcher, Businessman

Stay tuned for next episode on Sunday 27 July 2014, where together with Chris we have a closer look at the waterhole, which can be seen from Rhulani's terrace.
