Rhulani Insights 130 – Back at Rhulani at night

  • December 08, 2019 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

Did you know that in Madikwe Game Reserve we are allowed to drive around in the dark? This is an amazing experience as this way you see the magnificent starry sky without light pollution and find special nocturnal animals which hide during the day. And there is a wonderful welcome when you are back at the lodge.

At Rhulani Safari Lodge, we plan the afternoon game drive in a way that we stop for sundowners to enjoy a beautiful sunset, and then we slowly drive back to the lodge at dusk. The scenery in the reserve changes now every minute, and the ranger uses a lamp to find animals.

In today's blog we enjoy this experience and are on the vehicle with Sean at the end of our safari. It is completely dark outside. We enter the gate of our property and are welcomed back by Rhulani's staff.

“I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day” – Vincent Van Gogh, Dutch Artist

Stay tuned for the next episode on Sunday 22 December when we send you a Christmas Greeting.
