Rhulani Insights 132 - Our new drinking bottles

  • January 05, 2020 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

For the new year, Rhulani Safari Lodge contributes to environmental sustainability: We have removed all plastic bottles at the lodge. For our daily game drives, all our guests receive a Rhulani drinking water bottle as a gift, which can be refilled at the dispenser station before departure.

In today's blog, Lisa shows us the new dispenser station, which is located in the main area of the lodge. Here our guests can fill the 750ml drinking bottle with filtered water, at room temperature or chilled. The aluminum bottle, either in red or in gold, can be taken home as a souvenir of Rhulani.

We are very happy that we have finally found a perfect solution to the suggestion from our guests, and that we were able to clear the vast amount of plastic bottles. Take a first look today with Lisa and Rolf at the new water bottle and the filling station.

“I'll tell you what me scares me is plastic. Plastic bags and plastic bottles and these things. Why does my water have to be in a bloody plastic bottle? The landfill and the ocean. And I don't know, I'm just terrified with the proliferation of plastic.” – Helen Mirren, British Actress

Stay tuned for the next episode on Sunday 19 January 2020 when we discover a Rock Orchid in the bush.
