Guest Conservation Contribution: 10% adjustment from 1 March 2026
We would like to inform you that the Guest Conservation Contribution (GCC) for wildlife conservation measures in the Madikwe Game Reserve will be adjusted by 10% for new bookings from 1 March 2026.
Guest Conservation Contribution (GCC) - per person per night (incl. VAT)
Current:
- Adults ZAR 475 (SADC residents ZAR 240)
- Children <12 years: ZAR 240 (SADC residents 120)
New:
- Adults ZAR 520 (SADC residents ZAR 260)
- Children <12 years: ZAR 260 (SADC residents 130)
The Guest Conservation Contribution is a compulsory fee for each guest and serves to support the reserve in its fight against rhino poaching and for the upkeep of the reserve, which includes road maintenance and bush clearing.
The new fee will apply to all new bookings made from 2 December 2025 and with a check-in date from 1 March 2026. The Guest Conservation Contribution applied to bookings which are already confirmed by 2 December 2025 will remain unchanged.
