Official announcement – Promotion of Phinda to head chef

Rhulani Safari Lodge is proud to announce the promotion of Gaobotse Hometree Monare, affectionately known as “Phinda,” to the position of Head Chef.

Phinda joined Rhulani in June 2017 as a chef and has since continuously impressed both our team and our guests. His loyalty and exceptional team spirit have made him a valued member of our kitchen, while his outstanding cooking and refined plating skills have consistently delighted our guests.

Over the years, Phinda has played an essential role in elevating the standards of our kitchen to the high level we proudly maintain today. His dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping the culinary experience at Rhulani.

Now is the right moment for Phinda to take the next step in his career. While he will continue to personally prepare and present dishes for our guests, his role will increasingly focus on leadership responsibilities. These include strategic planning, stock management, purchasing, food waste management, and, most importantly, the continued application of HACCP standards, to which Rhulani proudly adheres as a certified establishment.

We are confident that Phinda will thrive in his new role and continue to contribute significantly to the success of our culinary team.
