Rhulani Minute Safari - The fall of the korhaan

- Wildlife

The red crested korhaan is a remarkable bird. You can hear it from far away when you drive through the bush when it starts to whistle and then you have to keep an eye out. It often flies steeply up into the sky and then drops like a stone, only to open its wings again shortly before hitting the ground. A truly unique behaviour to attract attention during mating season.
