The first photo of the Phinda-Males

They were staying for a long time in the protective boma. But now they are free, the two cheetah males of Madikwe, which are called the "Phinda Coalition". We now have the first wonderful photos.

"Suddenly we noticed that we do not have a single usable photo of them," says Rolf Steiner, Rhulani's owner. It would have been so easy, because the two "Phinda males" (Phinda reserve is their origin) spent a long time in a boma, where it would have been easy to take a picture.

After being released on Good Friday (we reported about the release, read here) Rhulani's Ranger Sean set out to look for them. The young field guide was lucky, and he found them just on the very first game drive. “They were a bit hidden by the bushes”, says Sean. But we can now present the first photos of those cheetahs in freedom.

We hope that you are lucky enough to find this beautiful wild cat as well, when you go on a safari. It is such a beautiful animal! And we hope now that soon the formalities regarding the cheetah female will be completed soon, so that she can make her way to Madikwe. We look forward to it!
