Madikwe Game Reserve has just announced that the Guest Conservation Contribution - formerly known as «Conservation Levy» - will be adjusted effective 1 March 2023, as follows:

Currently:

• Adults: ZAR 165 per person per night
• Children <12 years: ZAR 82.50 per person per night

New – from 1 March 2023:

• Adults: ZAR 190 per person per night
• Children <12 years: ZAR 95 per person per night

The Guest Conservation Contribution is a compulsory fee for each guest and serves to support the reserve in its fight against rhino poaching and for the upkeep of the reserve, which includes road maintenance and bush clearing.

The new fee will apply to all stay dates from 1 March 2023, including existing bookings. It can either be paid in advance (with the hotel booking) or settled by the guest upon check-out.
