  • January 21, 2015 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

In little more than a week, the first step for the release of two cheetah females in Madikwe will take place. The big cats will receive a satellite-collar. Are you interested in joining?

Protected in the boma: one of the female cheetahs walking along the fence

The procedure is scheduled to take place in the early morning hours on Friday, 30 January 2015. Under the supervision of Madikwe’s Conservation Department and a veterinarian, the two female cheetahs will be darted and receive their satellite collar. This will monitor their activity in the reserve.

As a sponsor of this exciting project, we have the unique opportunity to be part of this special operation. All our guests staying over on Thursday night, 29 January, will actively participate and learn more about the project to build up a sustainable cheetah population in Madikwe.

If you are interested to get very close to the female cheetah, there are still chalets available so please give us a call at +27 (0)82 907 9628 today or send us e-mail at reservations@rhulani.com.
