Rhulani Insights 202 - A big buffalo herd

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

During the dry and sunny winter time, Willem has found quite a large herd of buffalo here in the north of the reserve looking so peaceful and eating grass. Today, let's talk about this animal that belongs to the Big 5 because of its dangerousness.

To Swiss owner Rolf, these peaceful buffalo don't look much different than cows - but there's certainly a big difference.

I just can't remember a time when I wasn't involved with animals and wildlife.

- Loretta Swit, American Actress

As Willem tells, this animal is quite moody and should always be treated with respect. Such a large herd is definitely great sighting, so we watch and enjoy the moment.

Stay tuned for the next episode on 2 July when Rolf tells you how you can do your laundry as a guest in Rhulani.
