A lone male oryx, also known as "Gemsbok" here in South Africa, delights us with its distinctive features, such as its long, pointed horns and the striking black and white markings on its head and legs. There aren't many of these beautiful antelopes in Madikwe, but they love the open savannah, so at least we know where to look for them.
