Rhulani Safari Lodge is proud to announce that we have won the award for “Best Luxury Bush Lodge - Global Winner” at the World Luxury Hotel Awards (WLHA) for the tenth year in a row. The trophy was presented to Rhulani's owners Rolf and Marisa at the Gala Ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Athens, Greece, last Saturday. As an even greater honor, we received recognition for our efforts in Wildlife Conservation, Community Uplift and Clean Energy, through one of the very rare and valuable "Chairman's Award".

The World Luxury Awards celebrated its 17th year of awarding some of the top hotels, spas, restaurants and travel establishments on 28 October 2023. It was a night to remember. This luxurious affair saw almost 300 establishments from around the world awarded for their dedication and commitment to the luxury hospitality industry. One of them, and for the tenth time, was Rhulani Safari Lodge

“We are very proud of all of our winners, and being able to celebrate with them on an occasion like this is very special. The ceremony was incredible. The interactive entertainment, The Greek Priestesses and The Famous Zorba, were highlights of the evening and were thoroughly enjoyed by all. A brilliant and tantalizing 6-course menu was prepared for all to enjoy throughout the night. 

“We can hardly believe that, in addition to repeating our already well-known trophy, we were presented with one of the prestigious “Chairman’s Award,” says Rolf at the end of a lavish evening. "It shows that our very concrete efforts to protect the threatened wildlife populations, especially the rhinos, wild dogs and cheetahs, which are close to our hearts, are also noticed by the outside world. In addition, the fact that we recently installed a solar system in Rhulani which enabled us to completely disconnect from the power grid, also conbtributed to the success.”

It was a Saturday night with many good reasons to celebrate, but also a night of gratitude for an incredibly great team that we have at Rhulani, where both the professional performance and the human qualities are just right. We are also grateful that many of our friends, business partners and returning guests took us into account during the voting phase and thus confirmed the excellent quality of Rhulani.
