In recent days, there has been an increase in incidents where customers who booked their stay through the platform Booking.com have received confusing messages regarding changes to, or even cancellations of, their reservations. Unfortunately, a small number of Rhulani Safari Lodge guests have also been affected by these misleading notifications.
We want to reassure all our guests: your reservation with Rhulani Safari Lodge remains fully confirmed in our internal systems. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can assist you immediately.
According to Booking.com, their cybercrime team is working intensively to resolve the issue.
If you have booked with Rhulani and receive unexpected messages from Booking.com about your reservation, please follow this important advice:
- Always check the web address bar for the green padlock icon and the text “Booking.com B.V.”, as well as “https://” at the beginning of the URL. These indicators confirm that the website is secure.
- If an email directs you to a website that appears to be Booking.com but lacks the green padlock, do not click on any links or enter your login details.
As a general rule, it is safer not to click on links or buttons inside an email. Instead, log in directly to your Booking.com account—via the official website or mobile app—to verify the status of your reservation.
We at Rhulani Safari Lodge sincerely apologize to our Booking.com guests for any confusion this situation may have caused. Please rest assured that even in cases of “false cancellations” or “false booking changes,” your original reservation remains intact in our system.
