Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.
The theme of "water" is ever-present at Rhulani Safari Lodge, and today we're dedicating this blog post to this vital natural resource once again. We collect the meager rainwater from the roofs of our staff quarters, which we put to good use in the daily operations of the lodge.
Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.
We strictly separate the so-called "borehole water," which we pump from the earth's surface and then purify into drinking water using a reverse osmosis filtration process, from the "rainwater," which we collect directly in a water tank.
As Rhulani's manager, Tom-Hendrik, explains, rainwater is arguably the most suitable resource for nature and the plants we cultivate at the lodge. We also use it to wash our vehicles.
Stay tuned for the next episode on 12 July, when we'll present the "Rhulani sunrise."
