Rhulani welcomes international guests again

South African government has announced that travelers from all over the world will be able to travel the country again, provided they submit a negative PCR -COVID-19 test result which is not older than 72 hours. There is no quarantine requirement. At Rhulani Safari Lodge we are excited about this news and warmly welcome spontaneous travelers from overseas. In order to cushion the uncertainties surrounding a trip, we are offering new, customer-friendly conditions for unforeseen travel changes due to COVID-19. Welcome to Rhulani!

Rhulani Safari Lodge***** (www.rhulani.com) has successfully resumed operation on October 1st, taking into account the necessary protective measures. We are perfectly prepared for the arrival of guests from overseas. The quality corresponds to the standards from before the beginning of the pandemic. We have just achieved the highest score ever in the annual Star Grading assessment. We still have good availability even for the upcoming Christmas Season, New Year and summer time.

We asked ourselves how we can help our guests to better manage the continuing travel risks related to COVID-19. What if the flight is suddenly canceled? What if, quite unexpectedly, a travel participant's PCR-COVID-19 test turns out positive shortly before departure? What if South Africa does tighten the entry regulations again? At Rhulani Safari Lodge we have found answers to all of these questions (and more) and thus considerably reduce the risks for customers, so that they can feel confident about making a travel booking.

Reservation changes due to COVID-19

Special conditions apply for travel cancellations or postponements requested from 16 November 2020 caused by coronavirus COVID-19:
1. Rhulani Safari Lodge is closed due to a COVID-19 incident
     - Cancellation Penalty: waived
     - Postponement Penalty: waived
2. Rhulani Safari Lodge is inaccessible for you due to a travel ban or lockdown
     - Cancellation Penalty: 10% of the booking amount
     - Postponement Penalty: waived
3. Your trip has been declined by the South African authorities because you did not meet the COVID-19 entry requirements
     - Cancellation Penalty: 10% of the booking amount
     - Postponement Penalty: waived
4. Your transport was canceled and no reasonable alternative is available
     - Cancellation Penalty: 20% of the booking amount
     - Postponement Penalty: waived
5. Your trip was made impossible by the requirement of self-isolation or quarantine before departure
     - Cancellation Penalty: 20% of the booking amount
     - Postponement Penalty: waived
6. You no longer want to travel because of a self-quarantine requirement upon returning to your home
     - Cancellation Penalty: 20% of the booking amount
     - Postponement Penalty: 10% of the booking amount
7. It is difficult to assess the COVID-19 situation for the day of your travel, you don't want to take any risks
     - Cancellation Penalty: as per original policy
     - Postponement Penalty: 14 days or less before arrival: 50%; 15 - 30 days before arrival: 20%, 31 - 90 days before arrival: 10%, 91 days or more before arrival: waived
Above conditions apply to your booking and to all persons traveling with you. In case of a postponement of your trip, new travel date must be within 12 months of the original travel date. The new travel date can be communicated at a later stage. Rhulani Safari Lodge cannot guarantee availability on the new travel date. In the case of a higher tariff on the new travel date, the price difference will be charged. The deposit you have paid for the original booking will be allocated to the rescheduled booking.
