A few days ago, Rhulani Safari Lodge managed to celebrate a great success at the "World Luxury Hotel Awards". Rhulani's owner Rolf received the award for the world's best Luxury Bush Lodge at the Gala Ceremony in Antalya/Turkey. Here are some impressions from a great event and some thoughts on what this award means for Rhulani.

There is probably no better sign of consistency and quality than winning the highest accolade at the prestigious World Luxury Awards nine times in a row. This is exactly what Rhulani Safari Lodge managed to do last Saturday. We were once again invited onto the stage as “Best Luxury Bush Lodge – Global Winner”.

However, when confirming a title nine times in a row, couldn't there be a little bit of routine or boredom? Not at all! Rhulani's owner Rolf Steiner and his team is reminded every day by the constant challenges of a safari lodge, which is situated far out in the bush, with the rapidly changing demands of international guests and their expectations, how much energy, innovation and heart and soul it takes to win such an award.

Rolf entered the stage in the ballroom of the Swandor Topkapi Paklace in Antalya/Turkey with undiminished joy and pride, and looked into the camera for the winning photo with a relieved and satisfied smile.

This ninth trophy is also a very special indeed. Not so long ago, nobody really knew what the future of tourism and the hotel industry would look like, and whether it would be so easy to receive guests again soon and deliver a service at the highest quality level to them.

Now, it is a fact: all the problems and fears are in the past. Rhulani Safari Lodge is back where it used to be and even better: in the midst of the pandemic, a spectacular underground observation hide has been built to get closer to the animals than ever before. And recently, a large investment in the Food & Beverage sector was completed with HACCP certification.

The gala evening with impressive, local music and dance entertainment and a multi-course menu was reminiscent of previous celebrations and was still so special. The certificate confirming Rhulani's title will soon have a very special place in our front of house.

First and foremost, thanks go to all of our employees who, loyally and understandingly, got through the worst time in our history with us and are going the extra mile every day to offer our guests an unforgettable safari experience.
