Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.
In the rainy season we find not only animals but also beautiful plants in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Today we show you a very rare flower which we have just found on our safari: a "Rock Orchid”.
If you are familiar with the pictures of the extremely dry Madikwe Game Reserve, you can hardly imagine what will start to bloom here once we have just a little bit of rain.
I love - oh God, I shouldn't say this - I'm really good at bringing orchids back from the dead.
Right next to the road Rhulani’s ranger Alasdair has spotted a beautiful "Rock Orchid", which is rather rare here and only blooms for a short time. So let's step out the vehicle and take a closer look at this plant.
