Rhulani Insights 012 - A walk to Rhulani's waterhole

  • July 27, 2014 | Rolf Steiner

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

Nothing is more relaxing at Rhulani, than after an exciting morning game drive and a hearty breakfast to enjoy the view from the terrace to the waterhole.

A walk to Rhulani's waterhole

Rhulani is an unfenced camp and has uninterrupted views into Madikwe's nature. Literally each kind of animal can find its way to the waterhole, so you can be curious about what you will get to see. In this dry region of South African, the waterholes of the lodges are an important source of supply for the animals. What animals did you get to see on your last visit to Rhulani?

In today's episode, we have a look at the waterhole from close. Rolf follows Chris on a short walk, and we learn about the challenges to maintain this spot and keep it full with water.

Stay tuned for next episode on Sunday 10 August 2014, where Rhulani's staff participates in an intensive butler course under the guidance of SABA Butler Academy.
