Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

After an exciting and busy week we are at the end of a professional butler training, conducted by Newton Cross of the "South African Butler Academy" (SABA).

Butler training at Rhulani

If you are a guest in a 5-star hotel, you can expect the highest quality of service. For Rhulani's employees, this means intensive training, because everything, really everything, like the right "good morning" greeting, the correct serving of breakfast, or the folding of the towels in the rooms, has its little secret and must be done correctly.

In today's episode, Rolf surprises Newton Cross on the last day of the 8 days butler training, where Rhulani's employees are at the final test. Rolf would like to know how well our staff performed, and what exactly the important elements of a 5-star service are.

“70% of the guests’ impression of you is gained in the first 5 minutes of interacting with you! It takes 7 seconds to register 10 things about another person.” – Newton Cross, SABA

Stay tuned for next episode on Sunday 24 August 2014, where we are in the midst of wild nature, and together with the conservation department of Madikwe, we organize a "rhino nothing" event.
