A very important device in a solar plant are the so-called “inverters”. In Rhulani's system, each solar table, which carries 64 panels, has a 40kW "solar inverter". Together with Kyle, the director of Blockpower, who installed our system, we take a look at it.

Kyle explains to us the importance of inverters in general, and the “solar inverter” in particular. A solar inverter is a component in your solar panel system which changes the direct current (DC) electricity captured by the solar panels, into alternating current (AC), which is the one we use for our operation.
