How much is the entry fee in Madikwe Game Reserve and how is it paid?

  • January 05, 2017 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Each guest who visits us and enters the Madikwe Game Reserve must pay a so-called "Park Fee" or "Gate Entrance Fee". What is this fee for, how is it calculated, and how is it paid?

The Madikwe Game Reserve is managed by North West Parks Board. Every day around the clock, the park management takes care of the safety of the guests, the quality of the natural roads, the balance of the ecosystem, the protection of the animals and much much more.

According to the park regulations, every visitor has to pay a fee, directly to North West Parks Board. Is it for one, two, three or even for more nights, it does not matter. The fee is charged when you cross the gate to enter the reserve and is independent of the duration of your stay.

At Rhulani we make this process as simple as possible for you. In order to simplify the payment, you just make your registration at the gate without paying anything there. We will then charge you the gate entrance fee on your check-out bill, which you can easily pay with your credit card. We will then forward the park fee to the park administration.

Since 1 January 2017, the following new tariffs apply (subject to change):

  • Day Visitors: Adults or Children: ZAR 70
