The afternoon game drive had a clear goal

During the quiet lunchtime Ralf made a tempting plan for the afternoon drive. "I will find him!" he said with a smile on his face. He was referring to Munye, a beautiful leopard that is not very shy but is still not easy to find. Ralf had got a tip from other guides where to find the dangerous big cat. With his keen sense and experience, Ralf had no doubt. This drive will be a success.

"I found it funny that, according to what I heard, Munye was very close to the fence line of the reserve. Close to the main road. So I went there," says Ralf.

Systematically he drove the area, looked into every corner, every tree. The effort was worth it. There he was! Exactly as you wish it so see, as you maybe know it from professional leopard photos. Munye hung in a tree, comfortably, looked around and rested.

"He had killed an Impala here, right at the fence," said Ralf. He could watch Munye on the ground as well as on the tree, up close, with the kill. "What a start for my guests who had just checked-in and were on their first safari."

The afternoon drive during sunset was a great success. "We saw four of the Big 5," said Ralf proudly. "We found buffalo, elephants of course, and we spotted white rhinos, and even a black rhinoceros. Only the lion was missing this afternoon."

Ironically, the lions. Usually, we find the king of the African bush quite often. No doubt that Ralf will find it the next morning!
