“Most agents knew Madikwe, but not all of them knew Rhulani”

The "Africa-Academy", organized by Gretz Communications AG, is the only tourism event in Switzerland, which is fully dedicated to the African continent. Thus, it was very important for us to be present again with a stand also this year, and to make Rhulani known to the Swiss public. The event took place on September 1, 2016 in the Technopark in Zurich Oerlikon.

Rolf Steiner and Regula Bischof hosted Rhulani's table at the Africa Academy in Zurich

More than 100 travel agents came to the event

Rhulani's Owner Rolf Steiner had the opportunity to present the product to an interested audience of more than hundred travel agends. "Most of them already knew the Madikwe Game Reserve, because it is in high demand, but not all of them already knew Rhulani" says Rolf. "Everyone loved looking at the photographs in our brochure and our promotional video. I noticed that our biggest selling points are the absolute privacy, the malaria-free area, and the excellent value for money".

This year, the participants moved around freely in the market place and visited our stand at any time to learn more about us. Rolf was glad to count on the support from Regula Bischof, so that parallel discussions took place. "Our stand was constantly busy," says Rolf.

Fortunately, many representatives of major Swiss tour operators were present, led by Kuoni, Hotelplan, Knecht Reisen and TUI. With all of them Rhulani is in good contact, and we can count on a stable clientele from the Swiss market. All participants took home our cute little hippo, to be ambassadors for our message that water is a precious resource.
