Water is a precious resource. That sounds like a hackneyed phrase. But for Rhulani this phrase has an enormous relevance. From the sky only little rain falls. A water pipeline from a lake or dam does not exist. The sources of underground rivers and lakes usually dry up relatively fast. Under these conditions, one realizes how much importance the water has in our daily lives, and how economically you have to deal with this - we say it again -  precious resource.

Today Rolf gives an insight into the general water situation in Madikwe Game Reserve, as well as the way how Rhulani obtains the water in order to keep up the daily operation of a 5-star lodge.

A small hippopotamus, which greets our guests in the bathroom at their arrival should sensitize us all about the appreciation of the water at the present time.
