Rhulani Insights 052 - Have a look at Rhulani’s staff quarters

  • September 04, 2016 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Look behind the scenes of ‪Rhulani Safari Lodge‬.

Rhulani's employees work 21 days continuously before they take a break for seven days and can go back to their families. Our employees live in surrounding villages, which are located between 15 and 100 km away from the lodge. Given the long working days, this is just too far to go home overnight.

During a working cycle it is therefore necessary that our staff lives with us, in the so-called staff village. All employees have a private room, which can be set up according to their tastes, and which gives them a bit of privacy. We know that this can of course not substitute real home, but for us it is very important that our staff feels at least “a bit at home” at Rhulani.

In today’s episode of Rhulani Insights we visit with Rolf our staff village. Theo from our housekeeping & waitress team is so friendly and shows us her room. So, have a look!

“Sustainability includes how you run your business, and my bottom line includes how you treat your people. Sustainability starts with your staff.” – Tom Douglas, Chef
