Rhulani Minute Safari - White rhino saliva

  • December 02, 2015 | Rolf Steiner

This is the typical way of moving around of a white rhinoceros. The head is always down, and as with a vacuum cleaner, this big mammal traverses the savannah, eating the grass from the ground, with the wide lips. Interesting to see how the rhino produces saliva with the tannin binding proteins. Enjoy!
