What is a “ranger”? It is one of the most fascinating professions for young South Africans who fall in love with the bush. And it is a fascinating character for all tourists visiting a safari lodge. Often guests will remember even after many years the name of “their ranger” and ask explicitly for him/her for a next visit. For many young guests a ranger is like a "Superman", and each child would also like to become a ranger one day.

And indeed. "Superman" is an adequate description. Rangers are available around the clock for their guests and get never tired. They Just know everything about the African bush. They track wild animals by pursuing their marks, know hundreds of birds in the reserve, see everything while driving, know every plants, the stars at night, repair their car themselves, fix a broken water pipe, are not afraid to walk with a lion, give first aid in an extreme case, and prepare the best drinks at sundowners in the bush. Quite impressing for people who are mostly not even 30 years old!

Alasdair, Sean and Riaan: this is Rhulani’s team of the three supermen. One of them will be “your ranger” when you visit Rhulani, so, you should definitely come visit us. Today learn a bit more about them in 11 short questions.
