And so another year is coming to an end. What better way to reflect on the year that past, with all its great achievements, than doing what the Rhulani family does best. Creating spectacular memories!

Heads were put together and ideas rumbled the walls of Rhulani… Yes, Rolf, owner of Rhulani, gave the green go ahead to plan the year-end staff party. After carefully considering all the suggestions and ideas, it was finally decided that Doornrivier 4x4 camp, just 10km outside of Zeerust, will be hosting The Rhulani Staff Party 2014 and what an excellent job they did!

We left Madikwe in our 25 seater bus, supplied by the trustworthy Maroon Safari’s, around 3pm. From the get-go the roof was lift as all the staff sang with joy and build on the excitement of what was yet to come. After a couple of quick pit stops and even more singing, we finally arrived at the beautiful Doornrivier.

First up on the agenda, of course, a few formalities. Reflecting on the year that passed, welcoming everyone that’s new to the family and a well-deserved thank you to each and everyone’s hard work and dedication… turns out it really paid off as Rolf calls Rhulani’s general manager, Chris, to receive the Boutique Hotel Awards trophy on behalf of the team. The afternoon was lit bright with growing smiles when Rolf & Marisa surprised everyone with a special gift. I must say, the ladies looked pretty spiffy with their leopard-print scarfs!

And then, along came the fun…literally dancing the night away! From the tango to a South African “sokkie”, everyone danced their hearts out and we had a blast. Not even the tasty smells from the kitchen could settle us down, but at last we filled the tummies with a delicious dinner together. Needless to say- Mission accomplished, we had a blast!
