Gakeonyatse Motingwe, or as we call her “Ruth”, has been working for 7 years at Rhulani. A glimpse into the life of one of our faithful employees.

In a wonderful sunlight of late afternoon, a herd of elephants happily plays in the mud. They are wallowing in the wet earth, throwing the mud on the back, and playing with each other. An entertaining spectacle!

On our game drive through the beauty of Madikwe we make a stop at a herd of impalas. These elegant antelopes belong to the so-called “General Game”, but having a closer look, we can learn a lot of interesting facts.

In 2013 we introduced a series of new services and amenities at Rhulani, we updated our eland logo and we relaunched our website. So what’s next?

We find a large pack of wild dogs. Typical for these animals, they are always moving, and we just follow them on the road. They form two perfect lanes in front of us.

The dream of getting females cheetahs in Madikwe will become a reality. Rhulani is sponsoring a substantial amount toward this project – additional funds are welcome!

During a week full of activities of South Africa Tourism in São Paulo, Brazil, Rhulani’s owner Marisa had the pleasure of meeting the president of SA Tourism, Mr. Thulani Nzima

A pride of lions has killed a zebra a while ago. The lion mother and one of her cubs are still trying to get the last scraps of meat, but they also begin to groom each other and to exchange caresses.

After numerous episodes in and around Rhulani now we finally go on safari. Join Rolf and watch out for animals, and find a huge elephant bull.

A dazzle of zebras steps out the bush and crosses the western airstrip of Madikwe right in front of us. They do this very relaxed and form a nice row - nicely one behind the other.
