For Rhulani Safari Lodge the first days of November were the time of awards. And once again, we were extremely successful. We won three prestigious awards in the luxury hotel industry. Rhulani’s owners attended personally the three award ceremonies and received a valuable trophy. We are very thankful and proud!

On the opposite side of the waterhole we discover a small black-backed jackal drinking water. But have a closer look: He spits out the water again. Funny!

Today we are on a wonderful game drive, sitting on the vehicle of our funny ranger Alasdair. In the open savannah a coalition of two cheetah males was found, which we are now approaching.

Even those guests who are not interested in birds on a safari will remember our Guineafowls. They look like chickens and are a funny addition to a game drive!

With the first hot days around 40 degrees and with a first big storm summer time has started. Like every month we tell you about the discoveries on our safaris, where we managed to see quite unusual animals this time. Our Field Guide Riaan had his camera ready and took amazing pictures. Rhulani Safari Lodge announces a change in lodge responsibilities effective November 1, 2018. Carla Baasden and Riaan Taljaard, previously Assistant Managers, have been promoted to be the Management Couple. New Assistant Manager and Head Ranger is Sean Townsend.
