From very far we see that there is an elephant bull on the straight road. Of course we drive there as fast as possible. The elephant is eating a few thorny bushes and passes by our vehicle.

Traditionally, May was the quietest month of the year, measured by the number of guests visiting Madikwe Game Reserve. The few visitors enjoyed a private atmosphere with unforgettable game viewing. Welcome to our monthly report from the bush.

It was quite difficult to find this big pride of lions in between the many bushes. But the occasional roars of the adults and the sounds of the playing cubs have been leading us in the right direction. See here many lionesses with their cubs, very active at night.
