Rhulani confirms membership with the African Travel & Tourism Association (Atta) for the period 2016/2017.

One question our guests ask us from time to time: “Can I use my own car and drive around in Madikwe Reserve myself, looking for the animals?

A beautiful wildlife viewing featuring a male and a female lion. Both big cats are wonderful specimens. The way they walk side by side through the bush leaves behind the impression that they are on honeymoon.

Did you know that each guest chalet at Rhulani has its own outdoor shower, from where you have a clear view of Madikwe’s nature and wildlife? Rolf shows us today how this works.

The ambitious “cheetah project” keeps the Madikwe Administration on their toes. We have recently lost the signals from Iketle, our hopeful cheetah-female. For the moment, we can just speculate about the reasons.

This is currently the only, and quite big wild dog pack of Madikwe. It consists of 3 adults and 9 puppies that have grown up in the last months. We watch them hanging around, all together.

From 27 to 30 August, a further training session with the South African Butler Academy (SABA) took place at Rhulani. Braam West and his assistant Shankar Jumbo from SABA conducted the course at which the entire Rhulani staff participated. New signature services were introduced.

The herd of elephants, which is close to the water dam is in a perfect position for photographers. We follow the interactions between the elephants and their peaceful playfighting, in beautiful backlit by the soon setting sun. Absolutely amazing!

The “Africa-Academy”, organized by Gretz Communications AG, is the only tourism event in Switzerland, which is fully dedicated to the African continent. Thus, it was very important for us to be present again with a stand also this year, and to make Rhulani known to the Swiss public. The event took place on September 1, 2016 in the Technopark in Zurich Oerlikon.

At Rhulani it is extremely important for us that our staff feels well at work. All employees have a private room, which can be set up according to their tastes, and which gives them a bit of privacy. Take a look!
