A funny dung beetle couple has formed a nice, large dung ball, and together, they roll it through the bushveld. Indeed, a hard-working animal!

It was a very urgent conservation activity sponsored by Rhulani. A baby elephant was found in the reserve with a plastic piece around its trunk, which the little animal had picked up somewhere and which had to be removed. The operation went very quick and without any friction. Now, the baby is happy again and joined its mother right after the intervention.

They were staying for a long time in the protective boma. But now they are free, the two cheetah males of Madikwe, which are called the “Phinda Coalition”. We now have the first wonderful photos.

When the lioness is so peaceful, it seems to be a cuddly plush hedgehog to touch. However, the impression changes quickly when the lioness opens her big mouth.

Animal observations in March were as successful as in the previous month. The chance to see the famous ‘Big 5’ is very high, even for visitors who come to us just for one or two nights. But there was much more to see.
